Its enough to make you sick

I read that Welsh GPs earning on average well over £100,000 a year just cannot be asked to open on a Saturday morning. I mean, heaven forbid that publicly funded healthcare should be available on weekends, right?

You know, I’m sure that there are some intelligent people at the Assembly who have figured out that closed surgeries just might be related to waiting times at hospital A&E departments. So why are the Welsh government taking about only asking surgeries to open if there is a demand?

Does someone have to stuff the doctors' mouths with more gold?

  1. Spot on. All we've heard in recent times is how we have to pay decent money to doctors and nurses. GPs get 4 times the average wages and nurses get tuition-free degree courses. Sweet.
